Cypress Records has been a pivotal part of music history since its inception in 1962. Founded by Dave Plummer, the studio became a revolving door for music history shortly after its opening. The studio built its first standalone building in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, and construction on Cypress Records lasted from 1972-1974. Upon completion, it became the largest studio in the southeast, recording and producing for nearly every nationally known artist from Jacksonville, including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Limp Bizkit, Yellowcard, The Allman Brothers, The Charlie Daniels Band, 38 Special, Molly Hatchet, and more.
The challenge for SparkWEB was to create a website design that would not only be visually appealing but also honor the history and legacy of Cypress Records. It had to be modern and functional while also capturing the nostalgia and authenticity of the studio. Cypress Records has a rich and storied history, and it was essential that SparkWEB capture the essence of the studio’s heritage while also highlighting its modern capabilities.
